Children and Family Ministries |
 |
We recognize that the home is the primary place of biblical instruction, and thus we long to see parents who have been shaped and fashioned by God’s Word pass on the truths of Scripture to their children. At First Baptist, we partner with parents in teaching and discipling their children. In each of our weekly ministries, we encourage children to love the Lord their God (Deuteronomy 6).
Sunday Mornings
- Nursery
Nursery is available for children birth through Pre-K during both morning worship services, Sunday School, and our 6:00pm evening service.
Sunday Evenings
- Children's Choir
During Sunday evening worship, age-graded choirs gather in the upstairs Children's Worship Center for a time of music and fellowship (6:00pm-7:00pm). The children have an opportunity to sing in one or more of our worship services each semester.
Wednesday Evenings
AWANA is an evangelism and discipleship program designed for children. The founders of AWANA derived the name from the first letters of “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” which is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
AWANA is offered every Wednesday evening ( 5:45pm-7:15pm).
