Senior Adults
- What is the “Home Fix-It Ministry?”
This is a “handy-man” repair squad composed of 55+ members of FBC volunteering their talents-gifts by going into the homes, upon requests, of shut-ins and seniors to do minor repairs or small projects for those who cannot (for medical or physical reasons) do for themselves. In additions, the ministry will help you find someone to solve the problem, if it is too large or difficult for the “handy– man” squad to do.
- How does one qualify for this service?
If you are a 55+ member of First Baptist Church and financially, physically, medically, or ability-wise unable to do the task yourself, you are eligible to make a request.
- What kinds of services may I request help?
An example might be to replace burned out ceiling lights that you cannot or should not be climbing to do. Others might be a fallen or stopped up downspout, tighten loose hinges and loose door knobs, change furnace filters, the list is endless.
- What is the cost for this service?
There is no financial cost to you unless some part must be purchased to make a repair. We do request that you lift this ministry up to the Lord and that you thank Him for this service and help.
- How do I request this service? Simply call the church office 442-6038, ext. 217, and ask that a Request for Services Form be filled out. The form will then be submitted to the Home Fix-It Ministry Team who will then be contacting you within a few days.
